Emirates Road, Umm Al Quwain · Umm Al Quwain

Dreamland Aqua Park

One of the largest waterparks in the region by area, sitting on the coast road in Umm Al Quwain with more than thirty rides, a wave pool, a lazy river and camping on site. It is older and less polished than the Dubai parks and priced accordingly, which is the whole argument for it.

Why go

  • Over 30 rides across 250,000 m²
  • Wave pool, lazy river and a dedicated children's area
  • Overnight camping on site
  • Materially cheaper than the Dubai waterparks

What it is and is not

Dreamland does not compete with Aquaventure on ride engineering and does not try to. What it has is space — a quarter of a million square metres of it — so queues are short, there is grass to sit on, and a family can spend a day without being pressed against anyone. There is a wave pool, a large lazy river, multi-lane racers, a go-kart track and a separate children's area.

Facilities show their age in places. If that matters more to you than price and space, the Dubai parks are ninety minutes south.

Camping and the lagoon

The site runs overnight camping and has its own stretch of shallow lagoon, which makes it one of the few UAE waterparks you can stay at rather than just visit. Weekends fill; weekdays are close to empty outside school holidays.

Dreamland Aqua Park, answered

Is Dreamland better than the Dubai waterparks?

Not on rides or finish. It wins on space, queue length and price, and it lets you camp overnight. For a family on a budget, that trade is often the right one.
